Futuristic electro pop artist Sean The Star Emperor just released his new video for “Witch Disco.” The artist, who is known for his flamboyant style, his out-of-this world visuals, and eccentric approach to storytelling, is quoted as the “embodiment of what happens when you take the status quo, do the complete opposite, then make a big song and dance about it, all the while destroying heteronormativity.”
In “Witch Disco,” Sean The Star Emperor narratives the imaginative tale of coming back to life in a newfound way. Sean confides, “this is a song about returning to the nightlife/civilization after being sequestered in lockdown (due to the pandemic), or in general from societal obligations, like raising a family, or from being bound by work constraints: It is a song of seducing the innocent, or the unexpecting, into indulging in their carnal urges.” Featuring an opera-like chorus and dazzling disco pop soundscapes, the song immediately pulls you in where you are free to indulge in your own fantasy and muse. The accompanying video shows Sean painted and dressed in tribal gear, dancing free-spirited and doing all sorts of “witchy” rituals.
