Portland based singer/songwriter Haley Johnsen has just unveiled her latest single and music video. Called “Higher”, the track is an anthem of self love and appreciation. The single also highlights the importance of self growth, the singer confides the single is, “about not giving up on yourself. It’s that feeling of knowing that no matter what, you’re going to continue growing, continue dreaming, and that in itself is the greatest high. Knowing that you’ve built that trust within yourself to keep going even when life has worn you down.”
With dreamy soundscapes flavored by Johnsen’s signature honey-dipped vocals and intoxicating melodies, “Higher” is a seductive song about self realization. “Higher” is the second single following last year’s track “Goner”. Both tunes are off of her forthcoming new album set for release later this year.
